Draw Me Nearer

Today I’ve got a far better quote than what I’ve been sharing the past couple of days. This is a song we love to sing at Grace Fellowship Church. It is called “Draw Me Nearer.” Written by Fanny Crosby, it has been updated by Caedmon’s Call in their album In the Company of Angels II.

I am thine, oh Lord
I have heard Your voice
And it told Your love to me
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee

Chorus:
Draw me nearer
To the cross where Thou hast died
Draw me nearer
To Your precious bleeding side

There are great depths of love that I cannot know
‘Til I cross that narrow sea
And there are heights of joy that I may not reach
Til I rest in peace with Thee

You draw me with Your mercy
You draw me with Your love
You draw me with forgiveness by Your blood
You draw me with compassion
You draw me as a bride
You draw me closer to Your precious side

Consecrate me now to Your service, Lord
By the power of grace divine
Let me soul look up with a steadfast hope
And my will be lost in Thine

What Becomes Of All Our Dreams?

My dad loved to cook. This was a passion that began relatively late in his life after the kids had moved out. With an empty nest, my parents were able to live a slower-paced life and my dad began to dabble in cooking. He soon found that he loved it and that my mother was…
