Free Stuff Fridays (Thomas Nelson Bibles)

This week’s Free Stuff Friday is sponsored by Thomas Nelson Bibles. They are giving away five copies of the Life in Christ Bible.

About the Life in Christ Bible:

Identity is all the rage today, and that’s kind of a good thing because when you think about it, identity is foundational to the gospel. The gospel is about us understanding our identity as sinners separated from God, and then us understanding Jesus’s identity as the Son of God and the rescuer from sin. Then it’s us experiencing a new identity in Christ.

The Life in Christ Bible is designed to walk you through these three related major aspects of your identity. With over notes and articles, it will show you that identity is a key theme that runs from Genesis all the way through Revelation.

The first major category is knowing my identity as an image bearer. Here you’ll find eight core concepts that are true of you and everyone else, believer and unbeliever alike. Your identity as an image bearer is what gives you an ending worth.

The second major category is knowing my identity in Christ. Here you’ll find 17 core changes that become true of you the moment you’ve placed your faith in Jesus. These, coupled with the unchanging marks of being an image bearer is what gives you the value that God gives you when he made you.

The third major category is living my identity in Christ. Here you’ll find 15 core conducts identity drives, behavior, who we are, frames what we do, and the difference your identity in Christ can and should prompt in your everyday living is what these are all about.

We hope that the Life in Christ Bible gets God’s truth of your identity deeper into your mind and heart and gives you greater confidence and joy in who God made you to be.

  • 10 Reasons to Teach the Bible’s Big Truths to Children

📖 Why teach children the big truths of the Bible? Moses commanded Israel to gather everyone—men, women, and little ones—to hear God’s law. Why? So they could “hear and learn to fear the Lord.” (Deut. 31:12-13) Children need the deep, rich truths of Scripture to know God, embrace the Gospel, and build a faith that…

The Prosperity Gospel We Sometimes All Believe In

My family experienced some difficult days through the holiday season. These were the kind of days that involved ambulances, emergency rooms, bleeds, broken bones, and even terrifying diagnoses that, thankfully, turned out to be misdiagnoses. We entered this new year thankful for the holidays but also thankful to be through them. And, to be honest,…

  • The Men Who Have Done Most for God in this World

“The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees.” This quote from E.M. Bounds would work perfectly well without the word “early.” It would then say, “The men who have done the most for God in this world have been on their knees.” Taken that way,…
