Free Stuff Fridays
This week’s Free Stuff Fridays is one you’re going to like. It is sponsored by Reformation Heritage Books and features some great books by Simonetta Carr. Carr has authored a set of Christian biographies for young readers and today I am giving away five sets of all five of the books she has written so far. That includes:

  • Lady Jane GreyAugustine
  • Athanasius
  • John Owen
  • John Calvin
  • Lady Jane Grey

This means that there will be five winners and each of the winners will receive the entire set.

Each of the biographies is well-written and informative and accompanied by great art. The most recent of them is the biography of Lady Jane Grey. You can read a sample right here or watch the trailer below. Here’s a word about the book:

Although she ruled England for less than two weeks, Lady Jane Grey has been admired for generations for her courage and faithfulness to the gospel—even though she was executed for treason at the age of sixteen. In this addition to the Christian Biographies for Young Readers series, Simonetta Carr tells Lady Jane Grey’s story of intrigue and explains its context: the tumultuous politics of Reformation England. Maps, photographs, and beautiful illustrations decorate the narrative, helping young readers visualize what life was like in sixteenth-century England. More importantly, they will learn the story of an extraordinary young girl who understood that she was saved only by the mercy of God and the merits of the blood of Jesus Christ.

Giveaway Rules: You may only enter the draw once. Simply fill out your name and email address to enter the draw. As soon as the winners have been chosen, all names and addresses will be immediately and permanently erased. Winners will be notified by email. The giveaway closes Saturday at noon.

  • The Art of Disagreeing

    Keep Calm and Stay Friends

It is hard to disagree with someone you love. It is harder still to disagree well—to retain genuine respect and true friendship despite differing opinions or convictions. And, as we all know by experience, there is just so much to disagree about.
